Ricadi train station (in Capo Vaticano) on our way to Rome...

Capo Vaticano is a little holiday paradise for whoever wants to spend a week or two just relaxing by the sea. The seaside is absolutely fantastic. Clean clear blue water with good snorkeling opportunities. There are lots of beach activities as fitness, group dancing, acqua fun and nice bars. The beaches also offers renting of pedalo, kayaks and motor boats. They orginize boat trips to other beaches around, to Sicily and Aeolian islands. Apart from beach and sea activities plus the beautiful nature around there are not much to see in Capo Vaticano. There are mostly hotels with its bars and restaurants. There is one of two night clubs too but we actually didn´t check them out night time - evening time (after dinner) they were both empty.

This is a perfect place for families, older couples and whoever wants to spend a holiday in total relax and total lack of city life.

My firend Cicci and I had a very good time anyway and manage to relax and have fun. Our days were busy down the beach with different activites, some sun bathing and lots of swimming in the beautiful sea. We ate amazingly good fruits and ice creams. We rented pedalo´s twice to get away from the busy beach and swim alone in the deep blue water.

The evenings were slightly more quiet. We had dinner at the hotel and always went for a evening walk afterwards as we always ate too much of the yammi food. Then it wasn't much else to do than participate at the activities organized by the hotel like karaoke evenings, cabarets, kids shows and talent shows.

For us it was a perfect holiday but I can admit that I missed some city life around....

xoxo

  3. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell
and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.

There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
