Idolfinalen 2015

Marilyn Manson live at Gröna Lund

A good mix in life has always been my mission. A mix of a little bit of everything. Also in music. That is why I decided to go for the big Marilyn Manson concert on Wednesday. I can’t say I am a big fan, neither that I would listen to his music but a concert is always a concert and Marilyn is always Marilyn. It was a great show even if I don’t really like his style, or his personality. I don’t scream the f-word. I don’t give the finger. I surly don’t repeat “I hate love, I love hate” twenty times. But I do love concerts and I love to sing and dance together with 17 000 other people whoever is on stage. And one thing Marilyn can it to perform and create a good show.

The whole evening was great. We were a gang of 10 people that had dinner and beers in the sun before the concert. That afterwards took a long walk along the coast back to town.

Great evening, until I got back home and realized someone had cut off the tire of my bicycle :(

The eurovision winner Måns live concert

Last Saturday while we were styling Christoffer’s apartment we manage to take the time to have few hours of cozy evening with good food, wine and the international Eurovision contest. It is no longer much of a music competition but much more of a big fabulous show. Quite entertaining if you ask me. However Sweden won! I voted for Italy and hoped they would win and instead Sweden got the first place and Italy ended up on the third. The Swedish song “Heroes” is quite alright anyway.

Yesterday the winner, Måns Zelmerlöv had his first concert in Sweden after his big victory and as it was a beautiful evening I went there with Christoffer and two of our best friends. The concert wasn’t that good but we had a really good evening with dinner, concert, long chilly “summer walk” back to the center and a cocktail at fancy story hotel. Isn’t it amazing how a good evening can make you feel great when you go to bed that same evening :)

One Republic live in Stockholm

For many people One Republic is a completely unknown music band while some people might at least recognize the song “Apologize” but haven’t heard anything else by them. Let’s say that’s not my case as I really like them a lot since a couple of years back. I think I even mentioned on the blog last year when they were on their European tour I was in Stockholm when they played in Milan, and then I managed to be in Stockholm the day they played in Milan and I was so disappointed.

That is why I got so happy when I saw they were on tour once again this year. I managed to convince Laura and Cicci to join me and yesterday we went to see them at… Fryshuset. They were supposed to play at “Globen anexet” but the place turned out to be too small and the event was moved to Fryshuset, a (sorry for saying this) terrible stage here in Stockholm. The good thing is that it is walking distance from where I live.

However, the concert was so great. The Avicii concert the week before (attracting 100 000 people over the weekend) was nothing in compare to this one. Most people wouldn’t agree on that but I really believe so. I had the time of my life at the concert and felt so excited when I walked home afterwards.

Avicii live at Tele2 arena

Few years ago I didn't even know Avicii was Swedish. On Friday I was one of maybe 50 000 proud Swedish young people welcoming Avicii to his home town for a spectacular concert.

Which risk to sound old and not very into the new electronic music trend I must admit that for me these kind of concerts are quite strange. The 24 year old Avicii turned up on the stage without saying a word, turned on "hey brother" and went on mixing his own music with other popular dance music tunes for two hours. He did actually say "thank you Stockholm, you have been fantastic tonight" before he left but that was all. During these two hours he was standing alone on the stage mixing music with one hand and waving the other hand hysterically in the air.

He might be a music genius being able to mix tunes that no-one else (read it in the news paper) are able to but theoretically he could just have played a pre recorded cd and no-one would had noticed. The music was great. The light show was very cool. The atmosphere inside the arena was indescribable. Well everything was pretty fascinating. But I must admit that I kind of missed a true performance. Maybe I should add that we had seats and were not among the crazy crowd on the so-called "dance floor" and that obviously made a big difference.

Anyway, it was an unforgettable show and now I can't wait for the summer burst festival.

Moda - Non è mai abbastanza

Moda - Non è mai abbastanza

Great song and an equally lovely and romantic music video.
You can complain about Italy's politics and bad sense of organization but it it by far the most romantic country in the world.

Love actually and X-factor UK final 2013

Love Actually is one of my favorite movies and The movie I just have to watch every year around Christmas. It is such sweet and romantic movie that gives the ultimate Christmas spirit.
Yesterday Cicci and I decided to have a cosy night in so we first watched Love actually and then went on to see the X Factor UK final 2013. I have "kind of" been following the X Factor UK the whole season having my same two favorites from day 1; Tamara Foster and Nicholas Mcdonald - two pure singers. The Swedish Idol didn't have a single voice even close to theirs...

However Tamara was voted out a couple of weeks ago while Nicholas ended up on the second place and sang the amazing "flying without wings" together with Shane from Westlife in the final. (see the second video below).

The winner of the X Factor UK was Sam Bailey who I can admit got an adorable voice but I am not convinced about her star factor. In Sweden a charming star without voice won the Idol while in UK an amazing voice but with less charm won :-)

The winner song!

Gemelli Diversi - Per farti sorridere

Una canzone solo per te
per farti sorridere, sorridere
Questa vita moderna mi stressa,
ho la testa sotto una pressa
bocca fresca e gente depressa
rispetto agli anni passati
siamo tutti un po’ squilibrati
con la nostra vita di corsa
con lo scatto alla risposta
on un altro aumento all’imposta
e una losca cosca che incosca
questo mondo è freddo
ma rido e mi sento fortunato
perché tutto ha un prezzo
ma nulla vale quanto un tuo bacio
Scriverò una canzone solo per te
e poi la canterò per farti sorridere
e cercherò parole bellissime
che non saranno mai
belle come te, belle come te, belle come te.

Prenditi tutti i miei giorni se vuoi
meriti il meglio di me
tieni il volume più alto che puoi
come piace a te, come piace a te
io mi lascio prendere in giro
intanto penso questa canzone,
Scriverò una canzone solo per te
e poi la canterò per farti sorridere
e cercherò parole bellissime
che non saranno mai
belle come te, belle come te, belle come te.

The music video irritates me, the song is nice and the lyric is amazing.

Pulcino Pio

Good morning people! This morning I wanna introduce you to the chicken Pio...

The original music video

Here is the dance! I haven't even tried to learn it even if I would for sure have fun knowing it...

This song is this years biggest summer song. A real pain. But at the same time it is actually lots of fun, both the idea, the song and the dance.

I have now heard that they will translate it into English, German, Danish and Swedish so I guess it's gonna reach also other parts of the world... Have fun ;)

Welcome weekend

- Modà - Come un pittore-

Wonderful song. Wonderful video. Wonderful lyric.

I am feeling such relief. I survived also this months end financial closing (obviously) and I can now put all the stress behind for another month. I have already done the "to do lists" for next week and I feel I am under control and feel satisfied for that. Now I am looking forward a nice and relaxing week end with not too much plans.

Now I am at home for one hour relax in bed before going for a Mexican girl dinner. I am already hungry so I am longing for my mexican food. Tomorrow I am off to Como during the day and I hope for a nice movie night at home in the evening. On Sunday I need to fix things at home, maybe study a bit and obviously pop by the gym as I haven't really been very good at the training side this week.

Welcome weekend!

Awaiting the Venditti tour

- Antonello Venditti - Forever -

On Friday I am off to Antonello Venditti's concert in Rome. I am really looking forward to it. I have been dreaming going to one of his concerts for years but I actually thought he didn't record new music and there for would not do any tours but I am happy I was wrong. His new album came out before Christmas and the tour starts in Rome on Thursday...

This is his new single coming out on the radio in these days. Forever.
