This could easily had been my favorite beach too... It is famous to be the most beautiful place of the island which its crystal clear water, golden fine sand and smooth cliffs. Strangely enough the weather felt a bit chilly but we enjoyed hours in the water just snorkeling around anyway.
Fetovaia is beautifully situated in a narrow inlet on the south west side of the island and therefore it is very popular by the tourists and almost always very crowded. I guess that's why I didn't like it as much as Cavoli, too much people and impossible to get real peace. We had a nice sea food lunch at one of the restaurants and after lunch we left to see something else...

Hi Anonymous, we went to Isola Elba in July and normally it is July and even worst in August that the beaches are overly crowded in Italy. September should be much better :) Enjoy your trip!
