In the last days I've been thinking more and more about my home town Stockholm. I don't really know why but maybe because I'm a little fed up with some things here in Milan. I also miss my family, I miss the organization in Sweden and I really miss the social standard scandinavia is having- something I guess Italy will never ever be able to build up in the next 100 years.
But when I see pictures like this (that friend just posted on facebook this afternoon) and I read on the news that the city is once again blocked by the snow I can't help feeling glad I'm not there. Dark, cold and full of snow, all I hate at the same time.
Even if the minus 15 degrees we had in Stockholm during Christmas was a little bit too cold for someone like me it was beautiful to once again celebrate a white Christmas. One month a year I can stand the snow and obviously if I go to the mountains I like it too, but a city which is extremely dark and blocked by the snow 4-5 months of the year is a bit too much for me. Don't know what to do with my future... Even if I've been travelling around and lived in different cities I always in some kind of way believed that I would return to Stockholm one day. But right now I doubt it.

ReplyDeleteIt is very fun to read your blog and see how much you hate the cold. To move to north Italy is a very weak step though when there are places in the world that offers both a better life quality than Sweden and warmer weather than Italy. Think about it!
ReplyDeleteI would for sure prefer Milan today, Stockholm is so full of snow its a mission impossible to even get the car out of the parking..
