Ferragosto

Today we're celebrating Ferragosto here in Italy!

Ferragosto is an Italian holiday celebrated on August 15 every year. Originally, it was related to a celebration of the middle of the summer and the end of the hard labour in the fields. In time, Roman Catholicism adopted this date as a Holy Day of Obligation to commemorate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Almost all Italians take their summer holidays around this date... that's why I'm alone in Milan in these days. Thanks god for great colleagues! :)

Rinascente here I come and I also ear the double sallary today. I'm happier than ever to go to work ;)

Have a great ferragosto sunday people.

xoxo
