A quick trip to Switzerland

I am a girl and I love shopping so no doubt I love to go to the massive outlets around Italy and Switzerland. The one I like most is Fox Town in Mendrisio and the reason I like it so much is because they got the most amazing Ralph Lauren store (one of my favourite brands) with great prices. The rest of the outlet is nice to walk around but we normally don't find that much other things. However, yesterday Torri and I spent the whole day walking around foxtown.

On the way back we stopped by in Bicocca Village for a wild west dinner before heading home to see the San Remo festival final.

Fabbrica Pizzeria with Merve

 Took a pizza with mixed grilled vegetables, very very nice!

Tick! Now I have tried one more of the restaurants that I had on my long list of places I wanna visit here in Milan.

Fabbrica Pizzeria down the river Navigli was overly full this Friday evening and we had done well booking before arriving otherwise we wouldn't had got a place... We enjoyed pizzas, shared a bottle of sparking Italian wine and stayed there for three hours just talking and having fun. We were thinking to go dancing but in the end we decided to move that plan to another weekend and at 1 am I sent my last good night message to Zarah, turned off the lights and immediately felt a sleep pleased with my Friday.

Now I need to get ready to go to shopping in Switzerland, can't wait!

Hello weekend

What a wondeful feeling to get out of work at 6pm and its still light outside and 8 degrees warm. Even it it is just middle of Februay it is almost that I get some spring feeling...

Now I gonna have a nice and relaxing weekend.

Alexandra Friday

As many of you already know my full first name is Maria-Alexandra and today is the name day of Alexandra in Sweden. Congrats to me! Reading online I just learned that the meaning of the name Alexandra is Defender Of The People, not bad... The above definition of my name seems to be fit very well as well :))

Today I will celebrate my name day with lots of work, a long meeting and tonight I am off for a dinner out.

Flowering class and San Remo festival

Yesterday I tried a new class at the gym, a class they call "flowering" which is a mix of Yoga and Pilates. I would say it was a Yoga class with extra stretching, in other words a class perfect for me. One of my biggest missions  in the gym is to get more and more flexible so lots stretching is a must. Unfortunately Wednesday is not a good gym for me as I am normally going out on Wednesdays but in rare cases I will for sure go back to the flowering class.

Yesterday after the gym I was supposed to work from home, to prepare for a meeting today but in the end I did not lift a finger. Me and my flatmate sang down in the sofa and watched the San Remo festival until it was time to go to bed. It was ok but I must say I thought it would be much better....

Happy birthday AIK

What a sweet card that was waiting for me in my inbox today :)

For those who doesn't know, AIK is my favourite Swedish (football) team that I have been supporting since my first year in school. Since living abroad I am not overly involved any more but they will forever be in my heart together with AS Roma.

Valentines night out

Valentines day and freezing cold outside so what else could we do than go out for another dinner. We went to Grani & Braci, a famous Italian steak house famous for both their meet, their pizzas and pasta dishes. Many of the things they offer on the are biological. We both had meat anyway which was very nice.

In the end Valentines day has been a very good day for me. At work I manage to get lots of things done today and I felt very satisfied when leaving the office. After work I manage to go to a 45 minutes Pilates class before I had to rush home to get changed for the night. It has been a very hectic but also a very good day.

Happy Valentines Day

Today, the 14th February most of the work celebrate Valentines day. Some people celebrate it like Christmas with presents and big plans while others just refuses to admit it is Valentines day.

I think Valentines day is a day that should be spent with anyone we love... Could be with your family, a good friend or just anyone special. It doesn't have to be with your partner and that's why I don't understand all these girls that goes in crises because they are singles on Valentines day.

I am in Italy alone without my family and best friends... My sweetest friends Stefania, Stephanie and Una have all moved away from Milan in the last months so I am more than happy to spend the evening with Torri. But it doesn't have to be that way. Last year I had the most amazing evening with Stephanie for example and the year before I passed the day with my loves ones, Erika and Anna, in Stockholm.

I think Valentines day is a special day where we should take the opportunity to send a thought to the ones we love. I am totally against all the commercial stuff around it but I push for spreading our love around us.

Whitney Houston

Yesterday evening before going to bed Diana and I watched the movie The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. I haven't seen it in few years and got amazed how good I actually still think it is. After a movie a sadness came across me, why did she have to end in that terrible way? Whitney had a magnificent voice and was so beautiful. How sad her gifts could not bring her the same happiness they brought us.

This is absolutely one of the most romantic songs every made and I am pleased to share it today on the Valentine's day. Later on I will share a really romantic Italian one too...

Whitney Houston was one of the greatest singer I've ever heard and she will be truly missed.
