Celebrating that April is closed!

It has been over a week of stress, pressure and overtime tonight I finally managed to finish the reconciliations and close the month for all my nordic companies. The feeling of leaving the office after finishing everything is great. Such relief.

Got out of work close to 8 pm and I went straight to Sempione to celebrate with Stefii enjoying some fruit cocktails and the nice buffet of Deseo. Stefano also came by quickly and made us laugh to tears. One of these really nice evenings!

Fitness Village full of fun

Hello virgin, time to start.
Cool thing I found out today. On all cardio machines you can not only watch TV, listen to the radio, play games or surf on the web. You can also add either an apple product as your ipod ecc to listen to the music or watch a movie o anything. There is also a usb where I guess it is possible to do the same... How cool is that!? I can download a movie or telefilm and bring it to the gym and go running, biking or whatever while watching it. I found it so great!
With me to the gym I always bring good beauty products and always some kind of snacks as I always get really hungry.

I am a lucky person! Now you wonder why and will think I am strange when you hear my answer to that...

I feel like a lucky person because I am a member of such a great gym as the Virgin group and that I can go to the fitness village in citta studi as much as I want, and I can stay for how long as I want. I love it. It makes me feel good. And therefor I feel lucky having it.

May is my last month at Virgin and I already know I won't sign up for more months there. Maybe that is why I appreciate it so much, I know it will have a soon end.

Today I spend four hours at the Virgin Village. Now you wonder what da f.... did she do four hours at a bloody gym...? And I will tell you that:

- I started off with a little warm up. 15 minutes of running and then I stretched out the muscles.
- 45 minutes of Nike conditioning fusion. I am getting a bit tired of these overly hard, military looking courses. But it was nothing better on the schedule so I joined it. I didn't push myself to my limits but I did do it quite well.
- Then I joined the class directly afterwards called Nike postural training. It was something similar to yoga with focus on stretching. The class concentrates on getting your core muscles strong and stretched out. I had never tried it before and I really much liked it. Another 45 minutes gone.
So that was my 2 hours of training. Then I had a quick break in the bar and enjoyed a smoothie before it was time for....
- SPA TIME.. I took on my bikini went to the spa and just dreamed away. I moved around the different jacuzzis and slowly felt my sore and tired muscles relax. I also almost managed to fall asleep inside the sauna. One hour gone inside the spa.
After the spa I had to shower, wash my hair, put on the body cream, dry my hair and pack my things. Puff! Four hours of my life was gone. Four really nice and fun hours.

I would like to make my last month at Virgin quite intensive. I want to train at least three times a week, if I can manage to fit in four times it would be even better but I think that's gonna be hard. I want to keep on doing varied training and use the spa a little bit more than I do now. Lets see if I can manage?

Some beauty tops right now

1 Clinique Total Turnaround night cream
This night cream was great for my dry sensitive skin. It is rich but absorbs quickly. I wake up feeling my face so soft in the mornings. This for sure is a new night favorite. Now I am back using my old favorite night cream from No7 but I believe I gonna get the total turnaround again afterwards as I was very happy with it.

2 Collistar tridimensionale mascara
There are better mascaras I know. For example "Doll eyes" from Lancome is much better. But I think that the Collistar mascara is fabulous for its price. I got sensitive eyes and this mascara has never created any problems and it gives me really long and fancy lashes. I just love it.

3 This is s old limited edition 'Burberry summer' perfume.
Lately I use it daily. It freshes me up in the morning. Obviously it is not a favorite like my Chanel, Marc jabobs or Givenchy perfumes but lately I got a hit of addiction for this one. But soon it will end and I will never find it again.... hehe.

4 Bio Oil
Love it! I have tired so many body oils but no one can reach up to the bio oil. A big heart for this product!

5 Victoria Secret Mango temptation hand and body cream
I use it as a body cream on my upper body. The perfume is really strong and slightly to sweet but I really like putting this one after an evening shower before going to bed and then the whole bed smells like mango(?). I love all Victoria Secret creams actually.

6 Kiehl's olive fruit oil deeply repairative hair pak
I know, I know, I have been blogging about it at least twice before. But I am back using it. For the third time, after have been using Kerastase masque for a while, I couldn't resist not getting my magic Kiehl's olive pak again. It is just the best!

Back at Cost Lounge bar

 Stefano, Stefii and I
The two dancing queens

To celebrate that Stefania now is back living in Milan we decided to go to the bar/club where we used to spend almost all Saturdays two years ago, Cost Lounge bar. From Cost we have lots of good and fun memories together and here we have met lots of nice people that still today are our friends.

We started of with an aperitivo, ate from the buffet end cheered a fruit cocktail - obviously without alcohol - as always. Stefano Milano came by and we talked great memories and future plans and hopes.

When the music turned on we were among the first shaking at the dance floor.

I am so happy to have Stefii back in town. We have a great summer together in front of us! :-)

Nap in the park

Today was one of those nice days I could just not stay in, even if I was tired and wanted to relax.

So.. I took my book with me to the park Leonardo Da Vinci, sat down in the sun and read for a while. But then I felt a sleep and woke up 90 minutes later wondering where I was.

Starting the weekend off with some birkam

Roses in the bikram studio garden

Three weeks ago when I did a bikram course it went amazingly good. I was in a position in between two really good and hard working girls and that completely motivated me to do my best. I felt amazing when I got out as I knew I had given it all.

Today that is not the case. Instead of doing the bikram class in late evening like I always do today me and my colleague Mando did it at mid-day. I thought that would feel better but it was just strange. As the room as windows the room was very light and I am used to have a dark room.

Then I managed to get a position in between people that most of the time was just lying down. Two even left the room. A very important rule during bikram is that you should never leave the room during the class, but these two girls did.

Well lets say I didn't managed to feel very motivated and therefor I didn't push myself to my limits and I don't feel at all satisfied today. But well, I am proud that I survived ;-)

What do you think about this advertisment?

You Italians might recognize this advert at this point... it has been shown in the Italian media more than it has in Sweden, and it is a Swedes advertisement. They have been talking about racism, criticism against the countries in crises ecc

For you that don't understand the add it says "some kids has to go on holiday in Crete/Italy/Mallorca this summer" and then you see a kid crying like mad... because they wanted to go to the Swedish tivoli Liseberg in Göteborg.

Suddenly the Italians are doing what the Swedes do to too often... makes a massive problem out of something so small and stupid as a ad, for a tivoli. The Swedes did it not long ago for an add of what I think was Dolce & Gabbana which the Swedes saw too sexy or something....  Massive discussions turned out even there...

Greece, Italy and Spain are all amazing places and I would feel sorry for those kids not being able to visit them, and I am sure the ad was ment to be ironic...

I laughed when I saw it in Stockholm last week, it was funny, that's it.

Click here too see some of the upset comments :-)

What do you think?

I am tired!

After an 11 hours working day my body and brain felt like ice. I could feel they were still there I felt I wasn't able to use them, both moving and thinking felt hard...

A perfect evening in a case like that was to meet up Best Stefania for a sushi at out old favorite place Wasabii. I went there directly from work and not until I was sitting at the restaurant with Stefania in front of me and my sushi and cocktail by my side I managed to start relax.

But honestly, to have first a red day (1st of May) and now a whole weekend in the middle of my month close is something I am everything but happy about. I am the kind of person that like to go on with things until they are done and I feel satisfied. In my little world I would have loved to have worked the whole weekened to get all over and done and then take the two days off, maybe wednesday and thursday, when I will be done with my month reconciliations. Now I am passing a weekend just thinking of what I have to do on Monday...

I feel a bit bad about being home already at 11 pm on a Friday but tomorrow morning I am meeting up with my colleague Mando and we are off for a hot session of yoga and I need to be really fit for fight for that.

Hard work and soft zumba dancing

I want to start off today's blog post by saying how sad I feel for the death of Ivan Turina, the goal keeper of my Swedish team AIK. I have supported the team since I was a kid and even if I don't follow the Swedish league as I follow the Italian league AIK has and will always have a big piece of my heart. That is why I got so saw when the news reached me this morning that the 32 year old star Ivan had died leaving a pregnant wife and two kids behind. It doesn't feel fair.

My day has just disappeared. I have been so busy at work that I haven't even had time to go to the bathroom. If was a good day anyway. And if I can manage to get tomorrow equally good I might manage to close the month on time even this time, even if it feels a bit hard right now.

As my fever is gone I took the opportunity to go to the gym. It was 10 days since last time and for sure time for a little work out. However, my thought is still a bit sore so I took it easy. 10 minutes of a bike warm up plus 50 sit ups before it was time for some fun - ZUMBA.

One hour of zumba. I took it easy, meaning I did all movements but I didn't gave my all. Lets say I did a soft zumba lesson.

Exercising while being sick can be dangerous and it is just stupid. But I kind of know myself and my body and I can feel when I should or should not go training and today felt like a good day for a soft workout. And then, how can something that makes me feel so good be bad for me? Don't think so! I left the gym feeling better than I had done in many days. Amazing what just some simple dancing can do... it's a miracle.

Some films seen in April...

In April I have seen lots of films. I have done four flights and on each way I always watch a movie on my macbook. Then Milan have had lots of rainy evenings just perfect for movie evenings so I have seen at least 10 or 15 movies in the last 6 weeks.

Here are the ones that I found most interesting:

Shutter Island (2010)
From the poster it looks like a scary thriller and that was what I thought it was but it absolutely wasn't. I would call it psychological drama that kind of play games with your brane. It was a very interesting film and I must say Leonardo Di Caprio was very good.

Crazy stupid love (2011)
As you know I love romantic comedies and this was just the kind of film I adore. Some bits might be too much "americanized" but I liked the story and I totally felt in love with Ryan Gosling in this movie, I could marry him tomorrow ;-)
My rate: ( m m m m + )

Match point (2005)
This "old" movie by Woody Allan had I totally missed. I saw it in a friend's place few weeks ago and I liked it a lot. Especially because it so much surprised me. I could never in my life imagine what was coming next, well maybe that is why Woody Allan is so famous for his great movies as they are quite unique. I can't say much more of movie without destroying it for whoever haven't seen it so I just say, see it!

Salt (2010)
Salt was not my type of movie at all, one of those typical Angelina Jolie action movies. But, it was cool. Girl power. The story was interesting, Angelina was good and it kept me entertained throughout the whole film.

To the wonder (2012)
This film was strange. Very strange. I didn't give me a pure sense. But at the same time it was beautiful with amazing images. It was a romantic drama different from everything I have ever seen and I can admit I am still thinking about it wondering what actually happened. I was expecting more from Ben Affleck though, he felt kind of invisible. Instead the, for me, not at all famous french actress, Olga Kurylenko, was really good in her strange role. Interesting film that I could suggest for everyone that likes the kind of weird movies...
