Calm down bagel after a terrible day at work

Today I have had a really long and tough day at work. It started off already in the early morning as I got the bad news I will be changing manager. What's so bad about that is what most people would think? I will tell you...

The manager I have been having until now has been the best manager I have been having in my whole career, in other words in my whole life. She has been just enough hard and devoted but most of all always positive, supportive and very fair - a flexible person that I have always known would help me out when needed. Together we had projects for my career within the company which during tough days has been my carrot to move on... Now for no reason they want to change my manager to another girl which I also like a lot as a colleague. Actually another one that I always wanted to learn more from and wanted to collaborate more with so I have absolutely nothing against her but the way this change was made flipped me out today and for the first time I actually feel a bit demotivated to go to work tomorrow. Now I just hope things till turn out well...

After work today my boyfriend picked me up and practically carried me to California Bakery, one of my favorite places, to have a salmon and cream cheese bagel. Afterwards we went for a walk before going home to watch a movie, and I obviously felt asleep as always...

Awaiting the Venditti tour

On Friday I am off to Antonello Venditti's concert in Rome. I am really looking forward to it. I have been dreaming going to one of his concerts for years but I actually thought he didn't record new music and there for would not do any tours but I am happy I was wrong. His new album came out before Christmas and the tour starts in Rome on Thursday...

This is his new single coming out on the radio in these days. Forever.

I have always loved true stories and especially when they talk about about kids. They are so vulnerable and I find it very interesting to try to understand their thinking.

Full day at Wet Life Spa

It was more than a month ago I bought a deal on Groupon and today finally we went for the full day spa experience at Wet life Spa close to Lecco. As we had free access to the whole wellness center we started off the day in the gym and my personal personal trainer (my bf) set up a hard total body exercise program for me. I was dead when walking out of the gym after 90 minutes of his training program... Instead of going swimming we went for lunch at the wellness restaurant. 

After lunch we got changed and stepped into the spa area. We started off lying down in the relaxing area then and step by step, very slowly, we moved around the massive spa area trying out almost everything. I really really enjoyed it. Pictures below are taked from the wet life homepage...

The strange thing is that exactly like last time I spent some time in a spa I am coming home totally destroyed. My boyfriend even tried to take me to the Holistar shopping center on the way home and even if I saw lots of really nice things with my eyes I couldn't manage to start trying things on so strangely enough I walked out from the store empty handed...

Now I am already in bed and I actually think I gonna turn off the light and sleep very soon. I already know that tomorrow's gonna be a very long and hard day at work.

AIK sweather found in Adidas store outside Milan...

I couldn't believe my eyes when I few minutes ago walked into the bog Adidas outlet slightly outside Milan and found an AIK sweater among all the Milan and Inter ones. My question was, does anyone at all in Italy know what AIK is? My boyfriend didn't when I showed him the sweater so I doubt other Italian does... I was close buying it but in the end I didn't. Instead I invested in a new Adidas sport bra that I will introduce tomorrow at the yoga class....

Afternoon in Lodi

In such beautiful day as today I thought it would be a good idea to go away, but not too far away, too see a new place. My boyfriend popped the idea to go to Lodi which is a small town outside Milan with 45 000 inhabitants. We walked around for a couple of hours and saw some nice piazzas, pretty old streets and parks. Lodi turned out to be a very well organized and clean historical town and the beautiful spring weather made it even nicer.

Tonight Torri and I are at home just relaxing as tomorrow morning we are off to a big spa outside Milan early in the morning.

A safer choice for the after dinner...

After our terrible visit at the restaurant we head straight to a secure choice, the Radetzky bar in Corso Garibaldi. Here you know the service and whatever you get is of good quality and here we stayed the rest of our Friday evening just talking.

Terrible Ristorante Gelsomino

Watch out people, I warn you all before going for lunch or dinner at Ristorante Gelsomino in china town here in Milan. Looking though the window the place looked nice and cozy, with lots of chinese customers and a rich meny. We walked in, sat down and ordered. The staff was extremely rude (they are often in this Chinese area in Milan) but these were the worst of the worst. Then we realised that a big group of Chinese customers were smoking more than a chimeny in the wintertime inside the restaurant so we told one of the managers who just stared at us with the most agressive eyes and told us with his crappy Italian that if we didn't like his restaurant we could stand up and leave... We were close to but we were too hungry so we decided to stay anyway.

The food itself was quite ok, neither good or bad quality, but nothing special. However the entire visit at restaurant Gelsomino was crap but memorable.

Kill the legs

And so I am back discussing how much I am against doing hard leg exercises... Today I had to stay over at work so I missed my favorite gym class and instead I ended up at the G.A.G class - legs, abs and bums.

Like I have said before I am kind of afraid getting to much visible leg muscles so I simply don't want to do leg work out at the gym. My theory says my legs gets enough exercising of all the walking I do, all the steps I walk up and down on at home and at work and teven more at the aerobics and step classes I jump around at plus the body straight training the pilates offers. Am I wrong?

However today I ended up at Mario's (my favorite gym instructor) class concentrating on legs and I walked out shaking like a leaf, in a kind of a scary way. I did 20 minutes careful stretching but I know I will have lots of pain tomorrow. Now I just stepped out of the shower and I feel quite good, can't wait going to sleep though...

I find it hard to believe the spring is already here...? It is the first of March and we've been having temperatures above 15 degrees since a week. That is not a typical February weather! I still walk around with my winter jacket and expect cold weather to come beck, even if I hope I'm wrong...

Today, the first of March, my colleagues decided it was time for the first lunch out in the sun of the year. I was sceptical but someone reminded me that the 18 degrees we got is almost summer temperatures in the countries I am used to live in and in the end I sat down in the sun as well. So so nice! Now I am back in the office with more energy than ever so for sure an hour of sunshine did me good :)
