Girl dinner at Thai Thai East

After a nice pub evening with all the friends yesterday night, tonight it was time for a girl dinner at my favourite thai place here in London; Thai thai east on Old Street. The food was as always fantastic and we talked about everything and nothing. I realise how much I miss my friends here in London, they are really real friends. Tomorrow I'm heading back to Milan and I'm not overly happy about it....

Now I gonna go to bed and play with my new mobile phone!

A shopaholic in London

Both yesterday and today I spend hours in central London walking in and out of all the shops and buying many nice but maybe unnecessary things. I love shopping in London!!

Time for girl dinner!

Arrived at Heathrow at midday today... Wonderful feeling to get out of the plane and walk through the massive London airport. Got on the tiny little Piccadilly line on the underground and guess what, it was signal problems. I felt at home.

Got to Victoria station where I met up with Tobi and I was amazed of the big amount people stressing around me. I used to get the train from Waterloo station in rush hours every day but obviously I'm not used to it anymore.

Later on in the afternoon I walked my old jogging lane along the Themes to Embankment where I met up with Kristofer for a hot chocolate and some cakes at 'Le Pain'; one of my favourite coffee/brunch place when living here.

This evening I went for dinner at Benito's hat in Covent Garden and afterwards we walked through the tiny little dark streets back to Tobi's place. It was dark and quite cold but I must say that if there is one place to be in the autumn time it's London! It is overly full of cosy coffee places, romantic restaurants and charismatic pubs with warm lights. London definitely got it's charm, love it!

London tomorrow

 ~London September 2008 ~

Today was one of those very quick days... The day passed and I feel I've done nothing at all.

In the morning I went to the gym for my favourite aerobics class. Then I had lunch at home while preparing my luggage for London and organizing my three evening I will be in London. Then I went to work, sold ok and got back home again. Had dinner with Louisa and then fixed the last part of the bag for tomorrow.

Tomorrow wake up at 06am and god knows why I'm still awake when it's already passed midnight. I'm flying with Lufthansa and will arrive in London just by lunch time. Can't wait to see all my lovely friends over there again, I've missed them so much...

I will be using my English number these days in London:

I've had a very calm weekend

Friday night I went to the film premier at the cinema in Rozzano. Saturday day I did home duties and then I worked some hours in the evening for the promotion Givenchy did at Rinascente for the new perfume. Saturday evening I hanged out with my boyfriend. Today Sunday I worked all day as always and as my friend got the flu my evening plans were cancelled and I just went home, had dinner with Luisa and then worked a bit on my little project. It's not very common my weekends are that calm, but I guess it's a mix or tiredness and disappointment that the cold autumn has arrived.

Now it's time to go to bed and read and tomorrow morning early I'm going to the gym for my favourite smiling tone aerobics.

This a bit unknown artist has lately become one of my favourites on my ipod. I love her songs and her lyrics.

Have a good Sunday!

The first autumn day

Already since two weeks the news has been talking about the chilly weather that would arrive from north Europe and they were right. Thursday evening I was out in a summer dress with just a little cardigan on the shoulders and yesterday evening when I went to the cinema in jeans and a sweater and I was freezing.

Right now we're having 22 degrees and sunshine but the air is cold and fresh. The summer lover in me is sad that the summer is ending but I also look forward to cozy evenings with candles and hot chocolate.

The spring in Italy started already in March and the summer arrived in May. The Autumn started yesterday and the winter will arrive in December more and less. I guess I can't complain of having 2 months of spring, 5 month of summer, 2 months of Autumn and 3 months of winter, we have all seasons with a longer summer and shorter winter but I know that already down in Rome they have a even shorter winter that would suit me even better.

Now I have just done a big washing of summer clothes and I will start doing the wardrobe stange, putting away the lovely summer clothes and take out the jumpers.

Me reading on the balcony this morning!

Film Premiere of L'amore fa male

As we had won tickets to the film premier of the new Italian cinema film L'amore fa male (meaning "Love hurts") yesterday my boyfriend and I went all the way to Rozzano for a Mc Donalds dinner and to the cinema. It was a romantic comedy about love, infidelity and hopes where you follow 3 couples and their problems.

After the movie I asked myself why is that Italy are producing so many movies about infidelity and I can't help to think that it might be because it's a more frequent phenomenon here in Italy than in other countries. At work I hear about cheating situations almost on a daily bases and don't think it's only the men, the girls are as bad as their men...

However, both me and Torri liked the movie!

Body attack

Attack attack body attack! That's was what I did this morning, a hard muscle training pumping every little single muscle in my body and walked out of there feeling like a gummy bear as my legs and arms were too tired and didn't function like they were supposed...

Now, two hours later and after a big chicken sallad lunch I start feeling a bit better. Now I have a long lists of things I need to do on my only day off... Tonight I'm off for a film premier.
