I have landed. I slept the whole flight. Stockholm is white and not as cold as I thought it would be :-)
God natt

Off for a February trip to Stockholm
I rarely travel home to Stockholm in February. Actually I normally don't travel anywhere in February as I don't really like the weathet February offers...
But now I am in Malpensa airport waiting for SAS to bring me home to snowy Stockholm where I gonna have a nice long weekend with my parents, friends and Stella (the new family member).
I am very very much looking forward to it.

Burger, relax and packing
Tonight was supposed to be the big Birkam Yoga night. I cancelled it. I feel a bit guilty as I believe it is important to go regularly to be able to get any better in it. But I didn' feel perfectly well and had things to do at home so I cancelled the lesson...
Instead I got home. Packed my bags for today - I am off to Stockholm tonight - had a long bath, starting to read a new book and just relaxed for a while. Later I met up with a friend and went down to the Irish pub underneath my house for a yammi hamburger.
Lazy evenings are important from time to time!

My first Samba lession ever
Jezez crist. Yesterday Silvia and I went for our first "latino style dance class" at Virgin. I was thinking it would be like a fitness class with latino music. Doooh. I was wrong. At least yesterday it was nothing like that. It was a pure samba dancing class learning the basics in Samba.
The teacher is a Brazilian guy with impressive dancing skills. He´s able to move like he was made of some kind of soft plastic and I felt like a piece of wood looking first at him and then at myself. With all the dancing I have done in my like I feel I should be quite alright in whatever dancing style I try but yesterday I realized that that is not the case. I was crap.
Samba is a Brazilian dance with roots from Rio de Janeiro. It is famous world wide as the symbol of the Brazilian Carnival. There is a whole culture around samba including different dance variaties, food, parties and amazing clothes/customs.
Samba for me is too quick. Too energetic. And too much moving/rolling the bum that I am not able to do. But it is fascinating and for sure lots of fun.
Now I now I will have every Tuesday booked for the next four months as I will need lots of practice of these latino dance styles. I want to learn! I can´t be impossible? Thinking about it my friend I was out eating sushi with this Sunday is a professional samba ballerina... maybe she can give me some hints and tricks? If there are any? Or maybe it is just pure skills...

Kenzo Ki Belle du jour
Without a doubt this is one of the best face creams I have ever had and
have ever used. My skin is and has always been very dry and sensitive
and it is hard to find the really good products for it but in this cream
I did. It is a rich and moisturizing but doesn't feel heavy on your
skin at all. It is actually good even as a make up base as it leave such
smoothness.
I got this as a present from my ex managers and now when I tried to find it in the store I realize that it heavily expensive and I don't want to spend those sum on a day cream right now. I might do it in the future but for now, when I actually have few other creams at home to be used and others on a list that I wanna try I push the decision if buying Kenzo Ki Belle du jour forward.
But I just did a happy discovery. When I got this cream I also got a face masque from the same line that I haven't even opened.... So that is what I gonna do now, try the Kenzo Ki Belle du hour face masque.

Learn dance choreography easier
When I started my Monday fitness dance course over a year ago I was a real retard that couldn't manage to pick up a single combination. That was because I had more than a year I didn't do choreography dancing at all and I lost the spirit of it. My last two years in London my only training was different kinds of dancing at the lovely Dance works studio (plus the boxing) and at the time I was good but it is so easy to forget and after more than a year of not practicing I lost it all...
However, slowly slowly I got better. I didn't give up, that was the most important thing. Each Monday I got back, I was standing in the back as I was ashamed of how bad I was but then one day (after few months) I realized I actually was as good as most of the other ones and I started to move forward in the room. Now, after almost 18 months that I am doing it, I am asked to stand in the front as I am one of those that picks up the routine quickest.
The only way of getting better in picking up choreography is to attend a dancing class on a regular basis. It help you get to know your body and your brain, and slowly believe it or not, everyone will get better. A good plan is to start with a simple aerobics class with just few combinations and then move up among the levels. A good thing is to attend the same class over and over again as you will learn the teacher's style which makes it easier to understand what moves will come up next...
I know my Monday dance class quite well now. Sometimes is harder and sometimes it's easier but I am familiar with the standard moves the instructor uses and I can often get one step ahead and know is next to come.
Tomorrow I am off to a totally new dance class with Silvia. I know I gonna be a big shame but I am looking forward to it anyway. It is some kind of latino dance and I hope I will like it.

Running sushi band at Sushiko
Got some last minute changes of our Sunday evening plans... The plan was to spend the evevning with Torri, to get something easy for dinner and then watch a movie. But then we got a invitation to join Brisko and Elisa for sushi dinner in San Giuliano and we went.
Went back to Sushiko, the place we went few weeks ago. The place offering all you can eat from both the running band and from the menu. Brisko is a vip here and we always get some special treatment which is nice. The funny thing with this always over-packed place running sushi band where new things pops up every minute. They put on things I have never seen in my life. Many very nice things, some more weird. But trying new things is always nice and this sushi restaurant gets a big plus for that.
Now I think I will not eat sushi for a while. It is good, very good, but I feel I kind of had enough for some time.
And with that this very very good weekend is over. It has really been a great weekend! Tomorrow I am back to work and another months end closing.

American brunch and long long walk
Matteo, Albii and Fabrii
Me, Anna and Elisa
My egg and bacon bagle
Carrot cake
My wierd Chen Nung Chinese tea... tasted like pure wood
Cute cupcakes
Cakes...
Sunday brunch is a must from time to time. Once in a while Matteo brings me along to his favorite place California Bakery and today we manage to get a whole gang with us. Me, Anna, Matteo, Fabrii, Albii and Elisa ate like pigs the typical American unhealthy brunch.
After the brunch at least we decided to go for a long walk. People dropped off along the road but Fabrii, Anna and myself got all the way from Tortona in south west Milan up to Porta Venezia in north east Milan. Like 2,5 hours walk.
Met the smurfs on Piazza Duomo
Anna and Fabrii in San Babila
A random house with funny statues on the roof
Another random and beautiful building we met along the road
Gym, spa and sushi with Anna
@ Virgin village getting ready for the spa
@ Ishin sushi
My first time as a member I went to Virgin village bringing along Anna. We went running while watching TV, cycling while playing brain games and then we did a one hour total body class. Anna is not a gym girl and I was expecting her getting tired after all the training but the only tired one was me while she could easily had done another fitness class.
After the training it was time for the spa. There times just rushed away... We must have spend almost three hours inside there. We did all jacuzzis, the terrible hot/cold foot bath good for the circulation, all different kind of saunas and then stayed for a while in the relaxing room.
After the spa I wasn't the only tired one anymore. We looked like two dead man walking getting out of the virgin village. The plan was to go home and cook a nice dinner together but we changed our minds and went to Ishin Sushi instead. The sushi tasted better than ever as we were so hungry. We ate too much but I guess our bodies needed it. Ishin sushi is a small and pretty sushi bar not far from where I am. The sushi is good and the staff very nice. They have all you can eat for 19 euro, well worth it for the quality and the variety you get.
I went to bed at 22.30. New Saturday record? And then I slept 12 hours until Sabrina luckily woke me up this morning. God knows how long I could had been sleeping otherwise...

Happy birthday Anne!
Tonight we have celebrated Anne's birthday at Club Bobino. It was a nice gang mixed of friends and colleagues and we had a really good time.
Bobino is always a safe card offering nice people, good music, nice food and cocktails. I starts off like a normal aperitivo place and then turns into a night club. I wished we would had danced a little more but for the rest it was a great evening!
