A taste of Audace gym

Yesterday Steppy and I signed up for a month training at Audace gym. It is a small but fancy gym in my area of Milan.

Audace gym cost more and less like the virgin village,  in other words a lot, but it is maybe one sixth of the size, does not have a pool, no spa and has only one studio for the courses.... I wouldn't pay 90 euro a month for that...

However Audace is small but very fancy and nice. The variaty of the courses are impressive and the trainers seems very good. Then everything is very hightech and cool. 

I am happy to have a month enjoyment at Audace!

Today I only went running for 20 minutes and then a personal training gave me some fun stretching help. Must say it was 40 very good spent minutes at the gym!

Steppys great idea

I was supposed to see Steppy tonight, and I did! 

We were supposed to go for drinks out, but we didn't!

Instead, for the same money we would had spent for a cocktail we bought a month training at a fancy little gym close to my place, only 15 euro. That is what we normally spend at a drink night out and now instead we can go training at a posh gym for a whole month. What a great deal! I just love groupon.

Tonight we did body pump + stretching together. So much nicer than jusr a drink.

I might not go a lot to this gym but I gonna try some fun courses they have.

Old Fashion come back

 

Wednesdays at Old Fashion used to be our weekly tradition two years ago. The international event with dinner buffet, cocktail, shows, friends and lots of dancing (disco) all for just 5 euro was the best and funniest Wednesday deal my first year in Milan.Stefii, Francii, myself and many others were there every Wednesday, week after week dancing like mad and having lots of fun.

But then, I don't know what happened but suddenly we didn't go anymore. Maybe it was because both Stefii and Francii moved away from Milan but if I remember it right we stopped even before that. For two years I have been thinking of going but then I have never managed to find the time. Two years...

Yesterday however me, Stefii and some other friends went and it was all the same. A part from that they had changed the position of one of the bars in the garden every thing was the same as two years ago. The staff was the same. The food was the same (I love their spicy chicken). The cocktails were the same. Even the absolutely great music style was the same. We felt like home and had a great night and now I guess there will be more Old fashion Wednesday's to come :-)

Not an overly good come back at my old gym

Today I signed up for four months at my old gym, 20 hours gym Abruzzi. It is not even half as nice as the Virgin Fitness Village. It i maybe one fourth of the size, does not have a pool or spa and does not offer the same training opportunities.

But it does offer two floors of training equipment and one big course studio. The gym is clean, has nice staff, good equipments, some fun fitness classes and some absolutely great fitness instructors. The changing room is ok but the showers are terrible and I would never in my life put my foot in there but I am lucky living just few minutes away from the gym.

So, tonight I went back, bough my four months of training and with big expectations I got up to the training studio to have the biggest disappointment ever. The dancing instructor wasn't there! Instead it was a very good looking gay guy having the classes, with far to low music and with no skills motivate the class at all. I did an hour of work out but it was boring. Hoping for a better training Monday next week!

Now I am watching the big wind music awards live in TV. I so much love this kinds of shows. It is not often I spend the evening in front of the TV but sometimes I must say it is nice to do so.

A prosecco at Ricci

It has been a quite lazy weekend. No gym or training at all. Just lots of hang outs with friends.

So as hanging out with friends were the theme for the weekend I had to end the weekend hanging out with a good friend. Anna and I met up with the idea of going to a nice garden aperitvo but it was closed to we ended up at Ricci, you know, we love that place...:-)

Soft day

As yesterday was a super hectic day when I was running around all over town all day today I decided to just take it easy...

I slept until mid-day. Had a long breakfast, actually so long it turned out to be a brunch when I added a yammi pasta dish to my toasted bread and tea. 

Then I did som Greece-planning. Soon I am off! Can't wait!

But then I just had to go out as we finally got some slightly warmer weather. Still not warm enough for me but it was nice to lay in the sun. So I did that, just relaxed in the sun and read my book. 

What a nice day! And now I am off for a chick aperitivo with a friend.

Just a drink out at Momo

A little bit change of plans for our Saturday night. Stefii and I were supposed to go out dancing at the new Bobino but after driving around for an hour without finding it we were so hungry that we changed our minds. So instead we went for a buffet dinner/ape and a cocktail at Momo in the Navigli area. 

It was a nice but a bit chilly evening (the summer doesn't want to come!?) and lots of people at the outdoor terraces. So our night out ended up being just a drink out but it was nice anyway!

Four good movies and two great ones

From time to time I like to add good, interesting or just very particular movies to the blog to share it with you readers. I am a big movie lover and as often as I can I like to watch some new ones. Here are five of the best I have seen in the last few weeks:

 Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

I honestly don't know how many prices this film as won but I know it it loads. I am not sure I can understand its massive success but well, it is a good movie. The first half was not so good but the second part of the film cached up and made it all a good sense. This is a romantic comedy drama but I wouldn't say it is neither that funny or that very romantic but for sure it is a psychological drama. It is a different film and I spilled some tears when I saw it. It was good even if maybe I expected more of it...

Wonderlust (2012)

Even if this comedy was nothing special I liked it a lot. It was truly a "feel good movie" and I laughed a lot. Jennifer Aniston is one of my favorite actresses and she was as great as always in this film. This is an easy and funny film that for sure makes everyone smile.

Cruel intentions (1999)

Do you remember this movie? I hardly didn't. I just remembered that I saw it my last year of high school and that I felt in love with the actor Ryan Phillip after I had seen it :-)

In the beginning of the month, when I was home with fever, a friend came by and brought this film with him and we saw it together. I didn't remember much of it but it was really good. The story, the characters and the end, everything is just great.

What to expect when you´re expecting (2012)

This was a one big funny movie. It is all about kids and thoughts around having babies. I didn't know before starting watching it, I just wanted to see a new movie with my favorite Cameron Diaz actually, otherwise I think I wouldn't had seen it I guess. But once starting it I couldn't turn it off. It was fun, cute and quite emotional. Cameron Diaz is as good as always in this movie and I was happy also to see Chance Crawford doing well. Not sure I can say this movie made me feel very good but at least it made me both laugh and cry.

Dear John (2010)

This is one of the most romantic movies I have ever seen. Just adorable.
It is another Lasse Hallström movie and it is made out of the book with the same name of Nicholas Spark. One of my favorite directors and one of my favorite writes, couldn´t be anything else than a really good combination. A true Marie movie that made me think a lot, laugh and cry.

And the best one...

Flight (2012)

I totally loved this film. Denzel Washington is as always terrific. The story is sad but amazing. The pictures are good. It is a drama and not a feel good movie at all, but it is one of those movies with great quotes that stays on your mind. The kind of film that makes you think a little extra after the movie about what you have just seen, of what message the movie actually wanted to give. You should all see this one.
