VIP's at La Rinascente

Today I just worked four hours, but those hours where so eventful that when I walked out of there it felt I had been there for days....

The evening started off with a lady falling at the entrance of the store and then she places herself at the Givenchy corner complaining of the terrible floor Rinascente has. The thing was that she felt thanks to her too high heels and the floor had nothing to do with it... Anyway slowly her whole family arrived and after an hour or so they disappeared.

Then suddenly three big black cars stopped outside the main entrance - where the Givenchy corner now is located and three small Arabic girls stepped out with six massive body guards around them... It was an Arabic princess with her friends out shopping.

When they head off we didn't manage to work normally for many minutes until around 20 paparazzi's turned up from no where and then the Danish top model Helena Christensen came on her way up to the 5th floor promoting Triumph lingerie. She's 43 years old but I must say she was amazingly beautiful and elegant.

I love when it's lots of happenings going on at work but it's a bit hard to work/sell as all the customers gets destructed by the stars and paparazzi's.

Now time for a movie evening with Luisa.

First date with my personal trainer

Stepping out from the gym with shaking legs. After signing up, have fixed my membership card and been given all the introduction information they introduced me to my new personal trainer Cristian. I explained thay I've signed up to the gym for some general training and to build up extra muscles around my back and belly he said ok and set up my training program for the next two weeks.... I got terrified when I saw all the leg exercises I have to do as the last thing I want is to build up massive unfeminine leg muscles. I wonder isn't it enough with all the walking, cycling and running I will be doing with my legs, do I have to do hard muscle training too?

Well well, as the nice little school girl I am I will be doing the exact gym program Cristian gave me for the next two weeks then I hope for a change... Now time for a big lunch with lots of proteins :)

Spent Sunday evening with my boyfriend. Went to Cheese bar for a drink and talking and later on for a long evening walk. Ended the evening watching the movie 'the break up'...

Now I'm off to bed!

Drinks with the girls

Going out only girls is always great fun. Yesterday we did and even if we didn't go out dancing we had a good evening talking about girl things while enjoying a cocktail at Ciu's bar. Before going home the bar staff offered a mint vodka shot ;)

Very yammi ice cream!!

Spent Friday night down the Navigli with my boyfriend Torri. We went for dinner at the famous Napolitan restaurant 'Anema e Cozze'. It's a restaurant chain within the whole Italy and the one down the Navigli is always full so we just had to try it. The pizza was nice but I must say I've tried better in my life....

Afterwards we went for ice cream at the beautiful antique gelateria Rinomata.

You readers must after this week think that all I do is to go out and eat but that's not true :) This week have just been extra full of restaurant visits and I must say I've eaten very well all these evenings. Now I must start to go to my gym... ;)

Swimming with Silvia

To go swimming with Silvia is always good. If I go by myself I swim some lanes and as soon as I get tired I get up, but when going there with Silvia who's almost an swimming expert she manage to get me to go on much longer.

Today, the fist time this semester, I swam 700meters and I got home with pains in my body and felt asleep immediately... But now afterwards I feel satisfied with myself and soon I'm off for a romantic pizza dinner with my boyfriend.

The wonderful feeling of spending a day at home

And so was the summer with it's super hectic work schedule over... I've been working around 44-48 hours a week which might sound like normal working hours but I can promise that it's not when it comes to stand up all day long and always be at it's best - smiling and service minded. I am exhausted and when looking at me it's easy to see it; dry skin, spots all over and dark circles around my eyes. I work as a make up artist so I'm quite good at hiding it but when looking at myself in the mirror in the morning when I get up I look like a mess.

Today I have this week's only day off but from now on I will go back to do my 32 working hours a week and I will have more time to spend at home, at the pool and at the gym. The things that I haven't had time to do in July and August when working and hanging out with friends have been my priorities.

Today I am...;

- Cleaning the flat

- Washing clothes and towels

- Sending work e-mails from home

- Reading my book

- Surfing around on different blogs

- Gonna have a afternoon nap

...And at 4pm I'm meeting Silvia to go swimming together. Great day.

Bagels baby!

When Steppi picked me up from work and we had no clue where to go... We didn't want the usual aperitivo food, I had sushi yesterday, didn't wanna spend lots of food for a real dinner out and just an ice cream wasn't enough for two hungry girls. Then it just flew in front my eyes that we have a California Bakery quite close to Rinascente - an american restaurant/coffee place famous for it's burgers, bagels and absolutely amazing cakes....

We went there and ordered two american bagels with salmon and cream cheese, absolutely delicious! We thought of order a nice cake or some american pancakes but we decided to save it for the next time so for sure we will be back soon. Love California bakery!
