Beautiful Stockholm

Birkastan - the part of Stockholm where I grew up :)

 Ice on the fountain...

Had a walk into town to have lunch with my dad and these are the pictures I took on my way. The sun was shining, clear blue sky and 4 degrees in one of Europe's most beautiful cities- can't wish fore more on a November day.

The bad part is the darkness... Now it's 3.30pm and the sun is on it's way down, in half an hour it will be dark like the night outside...

Monday - First day as unemployed

Sunday was my last day as a Givenchy employee and Monday was my first day of being unemployed.

I started off the day going to the Sole e Luna SPA having a massage, manicure and pedicure. So nice!

Then I went home, cleaned my room and packed some of the things for Sweden before going to the gym having a two hours work out. One leg and bums class and then an aerobics class.

In the evening I went for pizza with Merve at Rosso Pomodoro, tipical Napoletan pizzas which are not among my favourites but it was ok and the place itself was nice.

My first day as unemployed was very good I think. However, what I haven't told my blog readers is that I will started a new job next week :)

Internet at home haven't been working very well lately and I've been bad updating the blog. However, lots of things are happening here in Italy. Not only the Italian goverment are going trough big changes after the president resign few days ago, I have also resign from my job for Givenchy at Rinascente. This weekend was my last days at work and it was with tears in my eyes I walked out of there on Sunday afternoon. To see my colleagues crying for me leaving was a awful but also a very beautiful sensation. I will be missed and I will miss them!

Working as a make up artist / beauty consultant / shop assistant might not be the right occupation for me but I must say that I have had the most amazing time while doing this job. I have learned a lot, I've grown and I have met fantastic people. Rinascente is the most dynamic working place I have ever worked in and I have had so much fun.

Thanks Givenchy for 18 amazing months!

Dinner with Veronica at Sans Egal Cafe Bistrot

Yesterday night I went for dinner with my D&G colleague Veronica. We thought of going for drinks and ape at Straff next to Rinascente but as they no longer had food served at 9pm when we got out from work we walked up to Brera, the old town in Milan, and had dinner there. Veronica choose a French restaurant called Sans Egal Cafe Bistrot but we both had pasta and it was really really good. And believe it or not but we sat outside eating...  the 9th November, incredible! :)

Now I am off to the gym for a Step class and then the plan is to go Christmas shopping the rest of the afternoon.

CAFÉ MILANO

Milano cafe is one of my favourite bars in Milan. It is a beautiful bar that offer a wide range of fresh food and delicious cocktails and you just pay 8euro, can not get better :) Tonight I went with Ilaria, Silvia, Valentina, their boyfriends and Chiara.

Hiding from the rain at KOKO

It is still raining heavily here in Milan but luckily we don't have any floodings on the streets. Tonight when I finished work I met up with Tamara and as Globe was overly full of people we went to a new place in the area called KOKO. I had a sandwich and a tea and Tamara this beautiful cake.

Now I gonna go to bed and I hope when I get up tomorrow morning that the rain has stopped!

Sunday tea

This is my sweet colleague Daniela that works for Colistar at Rinascente. Since many months we have been 'tea buddies' at our afternoon breaks. We have been bringing different kinds of teas from home and been drinking them together in the employee restaurant. Such a nice little tradition!

Saturday off

Above: Me and Luisa
Below: The vegiterian lunch

I'm not used to have Saturdays off from work but I'm very happy when I do have them!

Yesterday I went to the gym in the morning for my favourite step class. Then I went home having breakfast with Luisa while watching the fabulous Dirty Dancing. Afterwards we got ready in 15 minutes and rushed into town to catch up with Luisa's friends to have lunch at a vegetarian restaurant in the centre. Very nice food!

In the afternoon I met up Torri and we went to Rozzano shopping centre to walk around. The alternatives of activities are quite restricted when it's raining heavily like it did yesterday. In the evening we just stayed in my place watching movies and drinking teas.

Now I'm off to work!
