Great songs always bring back lots of good memories

~ Antonello Venditti - Ogni Volta ~

This song remembers me of so much things... Matteo playing it on max volume when we lived in Ireland.... Johanna crying like crazy every time she hears it (still does).... Andrea playing it on his guitar and singing out loud every night when we lived together in Bologna.... Kristofer singing it perfectly when we lived in London even if he didn't know a word of Italian.... Of my first week here in Milan when I felt more lost then ever but also felt that moving to Milan was the best choice I ever made in my life.

And here I am, still living in wonderful Milan and still listen to this lovely song at least once a week, or actually much more than that. Love it!

Lazy life

Today, lunch with Francii - home made pesto with my favourite pasta and some tomatoes. So much yam yam!!

What a lazy life I'm having lately. I have asked to work 32-35 hours a week and not more and Givenchy seem to have accepted it as I'm nowadays work much less then I did in December, January and February. I kind of like it. I work 3 full days a week plus two evenings of four hours. Just perfect!

During the days I go for walks, I stay home reading, surfing on the internet, watching sex and the city and having lunch/coffees with friends. And the evenings I go out meeting friends. I must say I am quite satisfied having it like this :)

An evening at Terme Milano

Tonight Torri and I spent 6 hours together at the Milano Terme - a SPA & wellness centre in the middle of Milan. It was amazingly nice, cozy and relaxing. The place is massive and it's full of jacuzzi s, hot pools, saunas and relaxing rooms plus a big piano bar where live music was played while people were eating lots of healthy food.

I very very very much enjoyed it and I hope to be able to go back soon again!

Ps. Pictures taken from the website as I didn't bring my camera into the SPA.

Off to the SPA

This is how I gonna celebrate the international women's day; a self treat evening at the Terme Milano :))

Info taken from their website:

Termemilano is the heaven of wellness situated in the heart of Milan, a exclusive possibility to enjoy Your day and relax Yourself.
The Spa&wellness centre provides more than thirty thermal services concerning the 4 main elements: the water, the air, the earth and the fire.

The water, the most excellent wellness element.
The air, that makes a suggesting atmosphere.
The earth, because the simple things let us to find our ‘equilibrium’.
The fire, the warmth element, because it helps to revitalize Your body.

Termemilano has the wonderful Spanish Garden with his hydromineral baths and the huge solarium surrounded by walls built by Ferrante Gonzaga from the XVI century.

Can't wait to go!! :)

International Women's Day in Italy

Today it the international women's day! International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

Here in Italy it's celebrated a bit differently from for example London and Sweden. When I lived in Bologna I don't remember celebrating it at all except from receiving few mimosa flowers from friends. Here in Milan many girls are celebrating it by organizing dinners and parties just for girls; some restaurants and night clubs are only open for girls until a certain hour and everything is discounted for girls. In Sweden it would be called discrimination. In Italy it's the only day of the year when the woman is more important than the man, so they better celebrate....

I've been organizing so many girls night out since I'm here in Italy but I just don't fancy doing it on the day when I'm supposed to. I save it for another occasion! :)

Happy women's day anyway to all my sweet girl friends around the world!!
Have a great day - because you're worth it!

I love sleeing

Tonight I slept almost 11 hours! I guess I was exhausted and needed a long sleep. The strange thing is that I feel even more tired today then I was yesterday....

Today I have a day off. Just had breakfast with Francii (I had breakfast and she had lunch), then I need to go food shopping, gonna have a lunch and then I'm off to the spa. Can't wait.

Isadora Graffiti nails

I've never been a nail freak. I never had fake nails and I rarely use strong colours on my nails. But I can admit that I'm quite impressed by Isadora's latest nail top coat called "graffiti nails".

This is how you use it:

Isadora is a Swedish low cost cosmetic brand that I never really liked. When I was a kid I had lots of Isadora eye shadows (because they have lovely eye shadow colours) but after an hour or so the colour was gone from your eyes - good quality, not. But I've read online about this latest innovation and the critics looks good!

It's a must buy when I get to Sweden in April!

Tea time at Victoria Café

Una and MartinaMe and Una
Tonight was a good evening at work. Thanks to the international shoe fair and the handbag fair which are on at the moment in Milan, the city was full of foreigners and I was more than happy being able to speak English all the evening.

After work I went with my colleagues/friends Una and Martina to Victoria Café' for a tea and girl talk evening. I skipped the tea and had a freshly squeezed grapefruit juice instead but it was nice to get out to have a good chat with some girlfriends before heading home.

Nos da to you all (good night in welsh)
