Walking sushis

Before the sushi dinner

After the dinner

It was some time ago we went for sushi dinner. Tonight we went to the quite newly opened Jinzan Sushi restaurant for a "all you can eat meal". We warmed up taking a long walk in the sun before heading to the restaurant and we also needed to take a long walk after the dinner as we were both overly full, felt like walking sushis.

Jinzan was nice anyway. Good quality of the sushi and for once the place also had nice waitresses.

Pilates, body pump and girl dinner

22.20 and I am in bed ready to lay down and read for a while before turning of the light and sleep.

Tonight after work I have managed to;
- meet up with Luisa, go to the gym,
- do two fitness classes - Pilates & body pump. Great combo!
- go home, have dinner with Luisa and Diana,
- shower,
- wash my hair,
- got my pyjama on and now be in bed...

Not bad eh? I feel quite satisfied. But I am also very tired.

Dancing in the rain

Ok it has stop raining but I like the titel :)

Rainy Monday and everything felt gray. What is a better way to cheer up than to go dancing. It wasn't the best dance lesson I've done but just to dance and makes me happy. Move around, jump and just smile.

Now I am on skype with my lovely mum and soon I am off to bed.

good nighty

A day at "La Wellness"

Picture borrowed from La Wellness homepage
Today, a boring rainy day, my boyfriend and I got the brilliant idea to visit the wellness club "La wellness". I love the name, La Wellness! It is a massive wellness club with gym, fitness classes, pool and spa area. My personal personal trainer (my boyfriend) took me around the gym working out the upper body for a while before we hit the spa. I sat in the jacuzzi for I don't know how long and I felt how my muscles slowly relaxed.

This place is not really close to where I live and thanks to the terrible experience with the buses on my way there I don't really fancy signing up but it would be a dream working out in a real wellness club. My gym only offers gym, fitness classes and showers but I pay more than half of the prices La wellness costs so I guess I need to be happy anyway. Thinking about "Central badet" in Stockholm, another amazing wellness club that offers everything... wondering how much it costs? Oh yea, I love to dream :)

Public transportation in Italy...

Milan is the city in Italy with the best organized public transport. We got a quite developed underground, buses, trams and trains covering well the whole city. Knowing that you start asking why then 2 of 3 people uses their cars even if they only have few km to ride... I can give you the answer. The public transport here in Milan, but also in Rome, in Bologna, in Como yea everywhere in Italy might exist but you can never trust it. You can't a single day get out and be sure to get to work or to your activity in time if using the public transport. I prefer to walk but most people prefer using their cars or scooters and I will never blame them again...

Today I was waiting for the bus no 90, the bus circulating around the centre, for 45 minutes and it didn't arrive even if it's supposed to go every 8 minutes. After a while I had to give up and I took another bus to a place hereby where my boyfriend had to come and pick me up by car. Sigh.

As a true Swede I got no patience with this kind of things and I got so nervous I was close to start crying. Easy way to destroy your Sunday...

Italian pub lunch and a hair dresser visit

It has been a cloudy Saturday in Milan. Not like last Saturday that gave us 30 degrees sunshine, no no... Today we had to survive with 20 degrees gray clouds. As it wasn't really a park day I first went for lunch with Merve at a cosy pub. Afterwards I went to the hair dresser to let my hair get a quick freshen up with few high lights, a slight cut and a very good moisturizing hair masque. I bought a coupon on Groupalia so I only paid 39 Euros for all that treatment. I love groupalia! After the hair dresser I went window shopping on the shopping street Corso Buenos Aires and saw lots of bikinis and summer dresser I would love to get...

Tonight I am staying in. Got nothing to do so now I'll turn on a movie.

Good night.

Holiday catchers...

Yesterday night Torri, myself and two of his friends went down the Navigli for some Italian snacks, a sweet fruit cocktail and discussing holiday options.

I really don't know what I wanna do or what I wanna go. We had thoughts of Cuba, Messico or the Maldives - paradises far away. Then Croazia and Formentera hit our interests and I think Torri is stucked there with dreams of going to Formentera just the two of us.

My dream is remains in Italy. Only God knows how long I will be staying in Italy and I feel that there are Italian paradises in the south west Italt, in Sicily and Sardegna that I would love to see. It is time to decide and it is a full time job just to manage to decide, plan and book...

3096 days by Natasha Kampusch

The other day I finished reading the book 3096 days by Natascha Kampush. It is the true story about her awful experience of being kidnapped as a ten year old while walking to school by Wolfgang Priklopil and then kept prison in his house until she managed to escape eight and a half year later. She was kept in a purposed built very well hidden little cellar. Wolfgang Priklopil was a socially disturbed hat used Natasha both as a companion and as a slave. Some days he was kind to her and other days he brutally beat her up.

It was a book I didn't wanna continue to read as I honestly felt sick while reading it but at the same time I couldn't stop reading. I wanted to get to the end and read by myself how she managed to escape.

I still find it hard to believe that the book I read and the book I am now writing about it a true story. It is a normal girl just like me that have experienced those terrible years: While I was in school with my friends, riding horses and making lovely trips around Europe with my family she was kept in that cellar without any contact with anyone except that terrible man.

People say they don't wanna read the book because they gonna feel bad. But I feel that she has written the book because she wants to share her story and there for feel I did well in buying it, reading it and sharing it with you guys. You decide if you wanna read it, but I propose you to it.

Girls don't sweat, we glow!

And so finally Thursday and time for mine and Luisa's killing fitness evening at the gym. 2 hours courses just to make sure every single little part of the body has done their part, even the brain as the first course starts of with 15 minutes quite tricky step dance where concentration is a must. Then we're pumping us though the rest of the courses pumping every muscle you can imagine. It hurts and we sweat like pigs and that's how we know the training works.

It feels terrible when we drag our tired feet back home, struggling to cook our dinner and to have a shower and wash the hair. But the feeling is great when we go to bed feeling more satisfied than ever when the whole body is slowly relaxing under the sheets.

Good night and sleep well. At least Luisa and I will :)

Dinner with Valentina

Valentina's little doggy Nila :)

Who has been following this blog for long might remember the little star Valentina that helped me with lots of things when I arrived in Milan by myself over two year ago. In the beginning we met a lot but lately we keep in touch but meet occasionally. Tonight we finally met as she invited me for dinner in her very new and very nice flat and I finally got to meet her little baby dog and I got to see her massive baby tammy :)
