Arrived in the USA
And finally we're here! The 10.5 hours flight on the boeling 787 dreamliner went smooth and "quick". We saw a coupleof movies, ate two nice mesls and slept a bit. The plan was actually very nice!
On the destination we got the car we gonna road trip with, a new typical American Dodge callanger. Christoffer loves it, I find it quite ugly but what to do. For the next 10 days we gonna cruise around quite a lot with it :-)

And we are off... California here we come!
The idea popped up only a couple of weeks ago and now we are already sitting at Arlanda airport on our way to the American west coast for a little road trip. I just need to survive a ten hour long flight first...

The choir for everyone
In the
beginning of this year I started to sing
in a choir called “Kör för alla” (The choir for everyone). It is led by the
famous Swedish pop singer Caroline Af Ugglas, a woman with a very special,
funny and just adorable personality. We are about 800 people in the choir and
it is constantly growing. 4-5 times a year we hold charity concerts and sing
together with other famous artists. The concept is great and I really enjoy the
choir.
It was my
friend Cicci that brought me to the choir last semester, she has been attending
the choir together with her friend Linda and her mum Anita since a couple of
years. This semester I manage to convince my two colleagues Julia and Teresa to
sign up and tonight my childhood friend Anna decided to join as well so now we
are a big group of people attending together which makes it even funnier.

Double mom and daughter dinner
Last night we had a very cosy dinner at my mums place. It was my mum and I plus Cicci and her mother Anita.
My mum and Anita has been close friends since their childhood and Cicci and I are like sisters as we practically grow up together. The four of us always have a really good time together and every time we ask ourselves why we don't get together more often.

Sugar exhibition
There was a time when we thought sugar was a health source
The beautiful Nordic museum
Yesterday I
went together with Johanna, Lisa and Cicci to an exhibition at the grandiose Nordic museum in Stockholm. The
exhibition was about sugar and it development in Sweden during the last
centuries.
Sugar has
gone from being a luxury that only the royalty had to an accepted food product of our everyday
life.
When we
think about sugar we normally think about candy, chocolate, bakeries, ice-cream,
soft drinks and cakes. What we don’t think of is that sugar is all around us in
almost everything we eat. Pasta, rice, crisps, juices, yogurt, ketchup, musli, bread, milk…
The list can go on forever.
I don’t see
myself as a big sugar-eater. Idon’t like chocolate and I rarely eat candies,
ice-cream or bakeries, but I don’t really think about all the invisible sugar I
eat. I got a bit disgusted when at the exhibition but quite quickly I decided
to keep the information in mind but I won’t change my food habits too much. We
all believe in different diets and my own diet consists of eating varied and regularly.
I try not to eat too much neither of sugar or fat food. I try to make sure to
eat fish and vegetables as often as I can. On top of this I also exercise regularly
making sure to fill my schedule with cardio, weighs and yoga in between 3 to 5
times a week. Being far away from perfect I still believe I live a healthy
lifestyle!

Back blogging?
Don’t ask
me why I stopped blogging. After six years of blogging regularly suddenly I felt I had nothing interesting to share…
While
living abroad I shared “my life abroad”. Just the fact that I was living in
another country; experiencing different cultures felt special and worth sharing
on a blog. I had an average 200-400 unique clicks on my blog per day and I
had no clue who most of these people were. Scary? Fun? Then I thought the visitor number would
drop when I moved to Sweden, how interesting could it be follow a “Swedish girl
living in Sweden” but the number slightly raised and therefore I felt motivated
to go on blogging for some months until I one day woke up and haI totally lost all inspiration
and motivation to go on sharing my life. So I stopped.
Friends and
family have begged me to start blogging again. I even have got some e-mails
from “strangers” saying that they miss my blogging. But I didn't want to. Until the other day
when my colleagues and I started talking about blogs in general I for the first time in a long time felt
I kind of missed it so now I have decided to start it up again. Slowly. I won’t
blog every day as I used to and maybe not even every week but I will keep my
blog alive by adding parts of my life to it as I used to and I even feel excited about it :)
Just to
give you a short resume of some news in my life… Since this spring I work as an accountant
at the bank SEB. I am dating my love Christoffer and a couple of
months ago we even moved in together, an important step in my life which so far
feels great. My job and my relationship are two very important parts of me
being very happy and satisfied with my life at the moment. On top of that I am extremely happy being
around my friends and family that I missed so much while living abroad. Let say
I am happy with my big and difficult decision of moving back to Sweden after 9
years abroad.
Well, from here I will start blog updating regularly again.
