Tuesday morning

Good morning friends. Today is Tuesday and I got no big plans for the day, and it actually feels really good. No plans = no stress. I'm obviously working but just four hours tonight.

During the day I gonna go swimming while the cleaning lady cleans the flat and then I have some things to do at home. Tonight the plan is movie evening with Torri. So like I said, I got a quite relaxing day in front of me :)

Sweet sweater

Just got back home from work and in my mailbox I find an e-mail from one of my Swedish readers simply saying that she thinks I should fit perfectly into this sweater. I don't know the girl who sent it to me but she must know me very well as I immediately felt in love with this gigantic teddy bear sweater.

Skam - Karin Alvtegen

Karin Alvtegen's fourth book Skam (=Shame) is a thrilling and shocking depiction of the human fear, very strict religious childhood, forbidden sexuality and the biggest shame of them all: never have been felt loved by anyone.

It took me some time to finish this book... in the beginning I didn't really fancy going on but something made me continue and in the end I really liked it. It is quite sad and depressing but also very interesting.

The 2011 Milan Boat Show

Today after my long walk around town watching the demonstrates I went down to the Navigli lakes, met up with Torri and together with him and his friends we walked around the big boat show which has been on this weekend. Very nice.

Demostrations around Milan

In Rinascente is was extremely empty and quiet today but the caos I met on the streets when I got out from work was extreme....

People are demostrating against racism, unemployment and bad politic regime. People look happy though; dancing around to the loud music they are bringing with them but I'm not sure what the polices are expecting from the demostrants but the amount of heavy armed policemen around town is telling us that they are waiting for rebellions....

...in my dreams as Milan, like all big cities in Italy, is absolutely caotic with it's traffic. Sigh.
